MANAGEMENT

Brian McRae

Brian McRae is the founder/CEO/art and creative director of Crazy Pixel Games, a multi-disciplinary 3D animation and video game studio located in Irvine, CA.

Prior to forming Crazy Pixel in 2007, Mr. McRae worked as a Lead Environment Artist at Blizzard Entertainment, one of the world's premiere game development studios responsible for immensely popular game franchises such as Diablo, Starcraft and World of Warcraft. While at Blizzard he gained valuable insight, experiencing the challenges of creating compelling art and design for both next gen games and cinematics. It wasn't until he formed Crazy Pixel that he was able to fully utilize his training and education to combine his passions for design, art, programming and animation.

Before moving to California in 2004, Mr. McRae contributed many AAA games such as Mortal Kombat Deception, Psi Ops The Mindgate Conspiracy, and the Hunter The Reckoning series. While working as a senior artist for both High Voltage Software and Midway Games, Mr. McRae also instructed at the Art Institute where he demonstrated his craft passionately to his students, of which many went on to find successful careers.

Mr. McRae's art has been critically acclaimed by countless national and international video game publications and has won multiple awards. Upon finishing a revolutionary web based interactive demonstration for Google, Mr McRae spoke on the panel at Google's IO event in San Francisco.

After 3 years at the helm, Mr. McRae continues to direct and manage Crazy Pixel's growth and creative vision, while taking an active role in the development and creation of it's projects.
